Shifter seal?

Hey guys I have a 2005 busa 5000 miles and it appaears to be leaking fluid where the foot shifter goes into the housing. It looks like it has a black seal there that its leakinfg from. Is this just a press in seal or is there more to it? Also when i pull this seal will it drain alot of oil? Thanx brothers

I can't remember if that seal has to be put in from the back(split the engine cases).

that seal is pressed into the shifter cover, remove, clean areaand press back in new one.. I have removed everything and just cleaned it before as it gets grime in it..

If it's seal where the little rod is motor has to come out..if it's splined one clasp is on do as above..

i just did one over the winter i pulled the shift cover but theres one bolt thats a pita but honestly i think with a hook tool you could pull it without removing the cover and put the new one in
