A lot of 'firsts' on this one....

Anyone from the forum there to take pictures?
A couple of things I noticed and voiced to my wife as we watched it.

1. The takeoff was fast, not like the old 60's where it was slow and built up speed, that thing lifted up and kept going.
2. I've never seen the boosters separate with that kind of quality, it was pretty amazing to see the boosters separate and fall back to earth like that.

I overheard one of the announcers say that with all the weight of the rocket, it still accelerates from 0 - 120 MPH in under 7 seconds.

Call me old-fashioned but the real adventure was the guys in the Apollo flights flew (these were heroes) around with a microprocessor less powerful than an Iphone.

i have not watched it, seems a little pointless in my opinion, is there any oil and gas on the moon?

Man will not go to MARS , Human kind is not designed for no gravity space flight, due to horrendous muscle mass loss.

Better focus on humanity on planet earth.

I get that it seems pointless for these missions but if you look at the innovation and technological advancements that come from NASA it's amazing how that solving those problems it enhances the lives of the rest of us.

.......and it's amazing how embedded Canada is in the NASA program......back in the '60s many of our scientists moved into NASA when we lost our Avro Arrow program.

The Arrow of which some of it's tech went into US aviation including the shuttle....

I remember watching the Apollo missions including when Neil Armstrong stepped foot on the moon.....

Crazy that it took this long to be able to do this again....

But pretty cool to be able to watch it again.
Hi. Some people think that it was all fake. Does anyone here think that this is fake too?

Interesting that the last flight to the moon was in 1972 via an Apollo rocket which splashed down in the sea....then the shuttle came and went and we are back to sitting on top of a rocket and splashing down into the sea.....

Other than more technology in the capsule, how has this progressed? We are still leaving space junk all over the cosmos......
