Iceman, I tried it without the foam piece and the bulb just flopped, the retaining clip would not hold it. put the foam in and it was stable. any suggestions?

Nope, my kit didnt get the nipple piece either. However, in the picture, the rubber/foam circle did come with it. ICEMANN, are you saying not to use the Donut circular thing to hold the HID bulb in??? Will it cause a fire or other issues if used, and If I dont use the piece - what the heck is a guy suppose to use to hold the bulb securely in place? When I did a 10 min break in period (actually did 30 min) the rubber/foam donut didn't feel that warm, and had nothing burning.

I used a high temp RTV and custom ring to hold mine in place! Been through several down pours and the car wash without one failure......

So how is everyone installing without the nipple piece?
The OEM one is solid with the two connectors coming from it.

Been a while but I think you have to take a dremel to one of the parts (you'd think da bug could remember this.........) Anyone remember how this is done?

I installed both mine and my brothers (o6 GSXR1000) with the foam rubber and have been on 1-2 hr rides with no issues. Maybe check at autozone/advanced for some type of other rubber ring? Little gasket maker to make it water tight? Love the light just have to adjust it up a bit now and install a relay. I hate my high beam being my low and low being my high.

Love this site in less than 2 months it has already saved me $$ and inproved my bike.

If you look this group buy includes two different hid kits, pretty much a car kit, while your is only for one.
Not being rude, just stating the facts.
I purchased one when you had your group buy also.

Pipefighter, now you think his kits are real??? We are the biggest distributors of McCulloch worldwide and we dont get out kits for that price, let alone selling them for that price and trying to make a profit. You think possibly, there may be a problem? I think so. Try calling this retailer and see what he says.

They work.
Got a problem with that?
No need to start getting pissy, because another seller is selling more right now.

Hey Pipe, why dont you calm down, I understand that the reason your getting upset is because your the one who brought this seller to everyone and if the kits are bad, your to blame. Trust me when I tell you that with or without your business we're doing ok, Im just trying to let everyone know what the truth is. Take it as is.
