anyone know what -c12 error code means

the bike wont start and the fi light is on and f1 was flashing until i jumped the wires then it gave me -c12.

thanks. looks like im replaceing the sensor. anyone know why these fail cuz it did just happen to start failing right after i tested my nitrous kit for the first time?
