It's great to hear concepts coming from other Busa owners minds! I'm doing something similar but different. I owned many superbikes in the 80's, all highly modified. I'm rebuilding a Busa right now to honor/commemorate/replicate those bikes. I've been building it for 1 1/2 years now so obviously, I'm not in a hurry to complete.
Maybe it's taking so long because it's so fun thinking about what to do next and what the final product will ride like.
Anyways, below are a couple of old pics of my early bikes and the Busa. Doyle
Doyle, I think it's time for a big update posting on your cafe Busa.

FWIW, I have a tank and full set of bodywork for a 1985 Suzuki GS700E, and am thinking of fitting this to my "XLCR". The GS700e was only sold one year in the US. The bodywork was done by German designer Hans Muth, who also did the body for your GS1150 (?), but it's just a little more slender and softer. As a trial, I laid all that on my Sportster back when I built it, but ended up "going traditional" with the Sporty. Last year I bought the GS bodywork off eBay and am making a go/no-go decision with it, or sticking with the XLCR motif.

Would love to see an update on your Busa project!

I remember Muth very well, he's the one that created the Mammot (Mammouth).....all aluminum with an NSU motor. He was so ahead of his time, some didn't think motorcycles could survive "being that big". I also remember the 700! Man, that's a hard choice, I love the XLCR and it's "production statement" back then, people freaked out on that one too! Each choice is a good one.
I'll be "goin public" on my Superbyke soon, probably right after I do an early April PASHNIT tour with Kento Moto and my man cave gets warm again.

BTW, sorry for the jack and my vote is BLACK. Doyle
