An open mind....

Do you have an open mind?

Have you ever been shown the opposing perspective about a given issue and realized that there may be some sense to it?



Yes. Many, many times.
I'm married. :laugh:




All kidding aside, I force myself to see the opposite position of things.
It serves two very important purposes:

1. Doing so will validate my position and strengthen my resolve, or,
2. Uncover holes in my beliefs that I have to reconcile, and if they can be,
I'll change my position.

But having an open mind doesn't mean a mind that can be tossed back and forth without claiming a position. Being wishy-washy doesn't cut it.
 
Literacy rate under the dear leader is near 100 %. Imagine what he'd do if anyone defies.
