AMS Prepping

I have a question for the LSR guys. If any one uses an AMS-1000 for their turbo bikes, how would you setup your activation wire and how would you set up the ramp rate of the boost? Would you time base, gear base or what?

horn button and shift mode is most common

Horn button for the activation wire? Doesn't the activation wire need constant voltage to run the program? I'm trying to get familiar with how this controller works but it seems like the more questions I ask the more confused I get.

Is that because you can wire the AMS to bump gears on the horn and also at the same time have your air shifter bump gears?
