So I had been looking for a bike to commute on. Surfing fleabay I found this:

linky

I didn't hesitate and jumped on it. And it'll be shipped door-to-door (Houston to Phoenix)for 375.

Seemed like a honey of a deal, but I keep getting that "too good to be true" feeling. What am I missing here?

It looks like a legit auction to me. If you look at his old feedback you will see some other bikes he has sold.

Yup I checked out all the usual stuff. Talked to him for awhile before deciding and he really gave me the feeling that everything was on the up and up. I pulled the trigger. I just can't figure out why those other 700 odd folks didn't jump on it.

The son wanted a truck and they wanted to sell the bike. Sounds like you got a great deal.

You talked to him and he sounded like he had a clue??

You're fine.

I've talked to scammers before, and they are usually running so many scams that they can't keep each bike straight.
I would have asked a trick question like "How's that inline 4 running?"

Scammers are usually idiots.

Congrats.

Does the title still have a lien on it from the bank?

checked out all the usual stuff?? I'm hoping the VIN is considered usual stuff, I noticed they didn't list the VIN on fleabay. If all checks out though I think you got a sweet deal on a very nice ride and to be honest I wouldn't call that price too good to be true, but instead a very nice deal. Would like to have one of those myself.

If you are that worried have one of the Houston members go look at it.

I just got the title and it's clear. Bike shipped from Houston to AZ 375.00. I expect to get it next week. Pretty happy about that.
