air shifter pressure

hi all

i am putting together an air shifter and nearly finished. i realize leverage has a part to play and how its set up but approx how much pressure is needed to be loaded on the gear shift lever to complete the shift and approximately how much air pressure is needed.
i would assume it also depends on if the ram were attached to the shift rod or near the end of the shift lever.
any help would be appreciated.

Folks put 140 in tank but parts are rated to 120. If set up right 120 is enough even under a load of nitrous and will shift every time.

I used to regulate mine to 95-100 PSI. Ive found anywhere from 85-120PSI will work without any problems.

 

[Ludicrous Speed]

I usually fill mine between 120 and 140 psi.

Anything above 120 is because I held the compressor buttondown too long
