been there done that but... My house was on the market. I was in the attic cleaning up some wireing that I had done when I lost my balance. As I was falling I saw a 3 foot section of 2X10 so I made a go for it. I managed to land on the board only to find it wasn't attached to anything. It flipped up, cracked me in the knee and left me standing on the top of my kitchen cabinet. That board was used to tack the drywall back up and then just filled in the cracks. You almost couldn't tell anything ever happened.

Next time call a professional...Its more funny to watch someone else fall thru the ceiling!

ouch!! those attics get pretty hot don't they? I did the same thing as a kid at my friends home, only I fell all the way thru, it wasn't much fun explaining that to his folks...
