If you look back through history and understand what mass migration did to the sovereignty and cultures of stable nations in the past, then, and only then can you understand why a country is wanting to keep itself protected from the corrosive nature of an uncontrolled invasion.

It's a proven fact that a wealthier more civilized nation, that maintains it's cultural purity, for lack of a better term, can be of a lot more benefit to the poorer nations through aid and grants. Allow half the people from the uncivilized nation to infest your own and all they do is repeat the same behavior they did at home and drag you're nation down. It's why America has the largest prison population per capita on the planet no doubt. So many different ethnic groups and cultures all conflicting. The more "multicultural" America gets the poorer it gets.

In some cultures theft is considered normal, even theft from your own relatives. In other cultures like in some middle eastern ones the abuse of children is considered acceptable as is the oppression of women. In South Africa, raping a young virgin is considered a cure for AIDs. The World's biggest human slave markets are in Libya. The nation rapidly went uncivilized after Gadaffi was overthrown. It's run by warlords now. How much child trafficking occurs in the states now?
