2003 Chevy Trailblazer Idle

Can someone with a Chevy Trailblazer tell me what theirs idles at when warm?

I had the thermostat in my wifes Trailblazer replaced today and i think it is idling higher than I remember.

It is at 900 rpm's both in gear and in nuetral.

should be at about 600 rpms when warm

Some engines have a temperature-controlled fast idle for warm up. If this just came on after having your thermostat replaced they might have messed something up. Is the engine reaching full operating temp?

Yes. After i drove it home from the dealership it reached temp, but while pulling into the garage I noticed it's idle was high. I could let off the gas and it would move as if I was giving it gas to go. I did not remember the rpm 100% before, but i think it was around 500-600. i think ideal is 525.

I called them this morning and told them I was bringing it back. A$$es will probably tell me it is the air flow valve and need to replace if for another $100.

Well....I get in it to take it back to the shop and low-n-behold it is now idling at 600rpm....figures. Oh well guess it fixed itself in the garage last night. I will drive it for a couple of days to make sure it is ok.
