If I am going to install a 2-step on my bike, do I have to run a complete ignition system, or will my stock ignition work? I don't want to have to change a whole lot. I am trying to get by as inexpensive as I can. Plus I don't want to have to re-wire a bunch of stuff!!

You can run the stock ignition. Greg Smith can fix you up with one. MSD also makes one along with a harness to make it plug and play.
I ran one a few practice sessions on my bike ealry in the year. I was having some shock problems and just started to get it close to working like I wanted it to. They are much easier to setup on a bar bike.

I make a 2 step with shift light and autoshift output if you are interested as well as I have access to the MSD Launch Master, both require just installing the unit.
