1397 Burning Fuel

I have a 2000 busa with the 1397 kit. single exhaust. This this burns way too much fuel. (went 12 miles and went through 1/2 tank of fuel. Rider behind me said he smelled nothing but raw fuel coming out.
Do I need to this thing tuned??? (map). This thing runs great, just burning too much fuel. Any suggestions?1397

Gotta assume he bought it like that and doesn't know much about its history...surely if he did the 1397 , research at the time would at least suggest a pro re- map with a PC.

I have a turbo bike and when it drops to 11.0afr for too long I foul plugs. Compression helping it maybe?
