Trump says a lot of things. “Vote for me and I’ll turn water into wine”. Still waiting on that one. Hamas or Iran, if you think Trump being in office would have made a difference, so be it. I absolutely don’t.
I don’t think Trump’s actions in office were a problem, although I didn’t agree with his distrust of NATO. I just don’t like the guy. I think he’s a racist, womanizing liar. Because of that, not fit to be president.

Herein lies the problem which Trump has created....the lack of faith in the election system...

He lost then jumped up and down saying it was stolen from him getting his devout followers on the band wagon....even going as far as mounting an insurrection on his behalf...

Now even if he loses the next election, he has created enough doubt in his followers that they will not believe it...and who know to what lengths they will go to next time....

I'm surprised Christopher Ray yesterday stated that in meetings with Biden he saw no cognitive problems, everything was normal. I guess different folks, different strokes? Every time I saw Biden speak, I saw the same things Robert Hur observed during his interview.

Perhaps you should ask why Democrats refuse a bill, enforcing voter ID at elections?
Perhaps you should reconsider who is creating the REAL problem?

I have followed quite a few US elections over the years but have yet to see any other followers storm the Capital building in an attempt to stop the electoral count or kidnap government people (Pelosi) or have a crowd build a noose for Pence when his then president called him a coward....

That entire situation was deplorable and can never be forgotten.....but it is being quickly forgotten it seems.....

It leaves the US in a situation where Republicans are endeavoring to have legitimate elections, opposed by Democrats.

The last election saw a sitting (defeated) republican president rile up his followers to invade the Capital building....

Many investigations were launched and each and every one found the election to be a legitimate one.....

I thought our posts about this was more related to giving Americans no excuse to doubt the elections. Based on both Hillary and Trump’s reaction after losing.

Perhaps we are not on the same page, mine is pretty simple. Voter ID, not having doubts about dead people voting, about stuffed ballots etc. Not giving anyone an excuse to create conspiracy theories.

The Republicans are trying to do that, the Democrats are blocking their effort.

It's mind numbing to think that people aren't presenting their id at election stations like we do here in Canada...we have no mail in voting, we have to go to election stations and be checked off once we identify ourselves.

We get a slip in the mail that tells us where to go to vote...

The idea of one party blocking this process makes little sense to me
