I don't think jail will be an option but over time we might see the Christmas season diminished to a very small event.

Even now stores are only closed for one day during the Christmas season.

The opposite side to this is years ago while I was serving we were not allowed to say "Merry Christmas" in any of our correspondence (emails or the like) or refer to any activity as Christmas (we hold an annual Soldiers Christmas dinner for the troops where the senior staff serves the junior troops) and we had to call this the "Soldier's Festive dinner" instead of "Christmas dinner."

While all this was going on, I was reading the newspaper and on the front cover was a picture of Santa Claus and the Islamic Imam of Canada together with the title "Why no Christmas" and in this article the Imam said he likes the Christmas season and his kids love getting presents and decorating.....they don't follow the religious aspect of Christmas but rather enjoy the season and he asked his fellow Muslims to embrace this as well...

I took that paper into the General's office and showed him and it was too long that Christmas was allowed to be spoken out loud again...

I should have taken that article everywhere because I went into a retail store and they were forbidden to say "Merry Christmas" to any customers for fear they may offend someone who doesn't celebrate it.....

We had a couple Muslim soldiers in our unit and when we had a family Christmas party, these guys and their families had the best Christmas spirit.......one year they dressed their families up as elves and one of the little kids fell asleep under the Christmas tree......I wish I had a picture of that...

However during Ramadan, we'd respect them as well and one of our non-Muslim guys held the Eid festival for them at his house and we'd all go.

I just read a bit of a disturbing piece about a teacher in Canada who voiced her concerns to the school board over books being made available in her school's library promoting transgenderism in young people and curriculum she is expected to teach them regarding the subject.

She didn't think these books were age appropriate and this sort of thing (transgender) should be the responsibility of the parents to discuss-not the school system.....

She was suspended from her job and sued by the school board for anti-transphobic comments...her life has been torn apart, she said she received countless online attacks and has withdrawn from all social media, was suicidal, has severe anxiety as a result of all the hate she has endured...

She was a teacher for over 20 yrs and has never spoke out on any issue before....

If the pendulum doesn't start swinging back and soon....a nuclear war will seem mild in comparison to what mankind will experience in the future...

I know having their financial influence is important to an economy but who didn't see the fact they will abuse our resources for their own gain.

When I was in Alberta, Chinese companies were purchasing oil and gas companies and at the time the British were conducting their battle group training on one of our bases where there were oil and gas heads. The British were concerned about Chinese agents observing their battle tactics....several times our security force had to escort Chinese nationals out of the training area who were under the guise of working on oil heads (that were shut off).

I just don't get how the governments of our countries can't see these countries are not our friends and allowing them to get foot-holds on our soil is just wrong.............and stupid..........

Apparently the UK is planning strikes against Houthis targets in Yemen...

The US has already destroyed attack boats and killed several Houthis actors so I would say it's not a US presidential issue at this point....
