I'm most concerned about the clutch cover. It looks like it's just the cover that broke I dont thing the case took any damage but is there anything right there that I need to worry about? I've been wanting to work on my bike to see how everything works but this ain't how I wanted to do it

Sucks when both sides get wrecked...at least if only one side gets it, you save a bit of repair costs.

I'd be looking for a new stator as well, I see damage on yours.

Other than the stator cover, the rest seems to be cosmetic...it won't be cheap to fix though.

That's the stator cover you posted, replace it and if the windings are damaged replace the stator as well. If all it did was slide, and didn't smack anything it's probably still structurally sound, but if it tumbled, spun or flipped you need to check the forks, frame, wheels and swingarm are still straight.

From what I could tell she rolled over one time but mostly slid on the left side. That's what happened to the windshield and I may need new clip ons and weights. Bad thing is theres no bike shops in town I've called 4 shops this morning and cant even get an estimate

Where are you? I'm sure there are some members around you that can offer you some suggestions.
The stator cover damage is from sliding, post up a pic of the clutch cover when you get a chance.

I'm in Brunswick Ga. 60 miles from Jax Fl. I had to go to Daytona just to get the bike cause the only dealer here is Honda/Kaw or Harley. I was thinking backwards it's the stator cover that's broke the clutch is safe on the other side that didnt get as much damage I think for $160 itd be best to replace the stator anyway

No sir I slid down the middle of the road a little ways. I wasn't in a hurry especially since the tire had already slipped on me once just a few minutes before but apparently these beasts slide pretty easy on all that pretty plastic fairing

Ya you don’t need a estimate if you put it through insurance it’s a total loss. Your almost 4g in plastics without paying anyone to work on it. Being a 09 insurance probably value it at 6g.

Honestly, at this point just part of the bike and take the check. Combine that and buy a new bike. I’m looking at 4-5k at least in damage.
Just the fairings alone will be that much, since it got both sides. Fairing stay for the nose is shot, stator and cover, exhaust, handlebars and ends, etc........! 10 year old bike with that much damage won’t be repairable to insurance, probably. Those are some sad pictures to look at. :-/

If it were me I'd buy it back and fix it if it was a total loss.

Damn. I'm going to do the work myself as long as theres no motor/tranny work, y'all really think the parts cost will outweigh the bike?

That's what I'm thinking if they total it. I dont want a new abs bike and clean older ones like this are kinda hard to find around here

That bent bolt in the lower engine case by the stator may have broken the engine case . A cracked engine case will total the bike most of the time . If you need a black front fender let me know . yours for shipping cost .
