So, can you tell which side the round came from, inside or outside?

I couldnt tell and didnt ask. No one got shot though I am guessing or police would have still been there.

I'm sure it was an accidental discharge... I HOPE...

No such thing. Either somebody INTENTIONALLY squeezed the trigger or the weapon malfunctioned and slam fired a round.

Please explain a bit more why live ammo is near that window?
Do you/they pass weapon and ammo back and forth thru it?

As far as I know, I didn't even know they handled ammo through those windows. I have seen pistol ammo in someones possession there though. I honestly do not have a clue what happened and no one in the window would say. Ask Sportcustom71, he's the guy who would know .

My brother was an armorour over in the Stumps, had been getting bothered and arguing with the Co. Gunny all morning. A brand new private was helping take in weapons and handed my brother a Baretta that he swore he cleared. My brother yelled one more time into the phone slammed it down and then shot it. The look on his face when the pistol went off was one for the books. He got let off for it, because the BC decided our Gunny was prolly the root cause of it.

yeah i handle ammo every day in the armory, sometimes it makes me nervous with my dirt bags that works for me..... Marines can be stupid sometimes which is given, i watched a Marine shoot his knee out on the rifle range because he decided to rest his muzzle on his knee not paying attention to his weapon being on fire and a round in the chamber....i was right beside of him when it went off...talk about almost pooping my pants......also had another blow his M16 up on the range.....he left a cleaning rod in his barrel....went into a million pieces. i've had to pry out MK19 HE rounds outta the chmabe that didn't cook off....so many stories:laugh: my old gunny stopped me from going to the ranges cause he was starting to think i was jinxing something.....but hey i love my weapons.....you name it i can work on it.....just like you russell i'm obsessed with them:whistle: if anyone ever need s any work done in the local area here i work for beer....hmmmm women.....oooops i forgot i'm married.....lets just keep it to beer:whistle:
