Has anybody found and used a communication system that allows 4 riders, on 4 different bikes, to be in voice contact with each other???? :beerchug:

I use a Starcom Advance with a motorola radio attached to it. As long as the other riders are on the same channel you should be able to communicate with them via your headset.

Sorry, couldn't resist. I've heard VERY good things about the Scala headsets. I think the G4s or one of those do up to 4 bikes. Not sure though..
Good luck!

Scala is the one I have been wanting. It does full duplex communication (talk at the same time just as if you were on the phone).

I have tried a few things out there, Chatterbox, throat mic's, etc. The best quality I have ever heard with options is the Autocom hands down. That will be my next com device without question.

when you pick a system, make sure it will expand to do everything you may want to add on at a future date...i have the Autocom Super Pro Automatic w/ a Motorola radio installed under the hump...it allows me to integrate the GPS w/ MP3, radar detector, bluetooth connection with my phone, communicate privately with a passenger, talk with any other riders with radio systems and is wired into the bike so that it doesn't require recharging or run out of power in the middle of the afternoon...the main drawback is price for someone who would only use it occasionally

Found out the Cardo G4 cannot operate on 4 separate bikes... so after a rethink we are looking at the Chatterbox GMRS X1 Bluetooth.....
Anyone have any experience with this unit???

This set up is on ebay for $99 and buy it now price of $125 i think... right now I want it bad because my wife is getting a bike too and this way we could talk but i can't afford right now and it ends in a day and a half so here you go it comes with a set up for 3

I like the autocoms from the research i have done, but for my budget they seem very cost prohibitive.

I was the same way. I should have saved the money and held out for the Autocom. :banghead:

i had that one and got rid of it to upgrade to the Autocom...it's ok if you don't get over 400-500 yards away from each other in the hills but is almost useless at highway speeds, i couldn't hear other riders over 55 mph or talk on my phone at over 35 mph...it's better than nothing but don't expect to talk to each other if you get seperated

Are you using personal radios or CB radios with the autocom set up?

With the money I have wasted on other set ups, I promise you I could have purchased an autocom. Chatterbox, 250. Throatmic 150. Motorola FRS/GMRS radios, 100. So thats 500 bucks I have already spent on com systems over the years. Semi is right, I couldnt hear squat moving at anthing over 35 to 45 mph. Forget music with the Chatterbox. Nobody else could hear anything from me except road noise. The auto com set up I am going to buy will blue tooth to my phone, give me phone, music, and com's for less than 500 and that includes a 4w GMRS radio for 120. So I could be set up for less than 400 if I dont purchase the radio. But the autocom and the radio wire into bike power so I dont have worry about batteries or charging anything. And my PTT button will be my flash to pass.
