hmmm its obviously due to misjudgement. Its a bad fall although he is not going that fast.If he is in leathers and a full face helmet,i guess it wouldnt be that bad.If not:whistle:,i can imagine huge chunks of skin and flesh went ripping off his body.Hopefully he will be fine.

it amazes me how ignorant people are the first one to say its all the motorcycle rider's fault... so i guess we should all know that cars drive then turn their right turn signal on and the swerve to the left to hit the motorcycle.... man i guess ive been driving my car all wrong these years:banghead:

That rider was trying to pass on a two lane road.

My guess and my opinion only, the driver of the car was going to move to the right to let the rider go by. The rider panic when he saw the oncoming red car and clipped the back of the silver wagon.

man o man.Only time i lane split is when its bumper to bumper traffic and its 100 degrees  Rider assumed (fair assumption since he probably noticed the car's directional and accelerated) car was moving Right but then car decided (God knows for what reason) to move Left.

If you are going to pass on a two lane road in a no passing zone in the same lane as the car, it IS the riders fault. Find me a law enforcement officer who will say otherwise. People need to take responsibility for their own actions. It is part of being a responsible adult. Most states it is illegal for a reason.

just from the last sentence of ur quote... so whats the reason why it is legal in some states? we all know its not the safest thing to do but at the same time.. when riding a motorcycle being on ur motorcycle isnt the safest thing either

The car signaled right, started moving right, then seems to purposefully veer back to the left to hit the motorcycle...

WHY would you do that, lane splitting legal or not... WHY WHY WHY??

Perhaps the motorcycle shouldn't have been where it was, when it was... but that doesn't give that driver the right to simply run him over.

Oh, if you frame by frame it... press the pause button repeatedly, you can see him skipping across the road for one frame at :09. He was wearing full gear.

I lane share all the time, but only when traffic(and I mean rush hour bumper to bumper traffic) is moving slower than about 40mph. If it starts to pick up I find a spot in a lane.

Why is he passing on the left, going into oncoming traffic when there is another lane? Thats just crazy and dangerous.

As for the car, Im thinking he seen the rider coming and was gonna move right to let him pass. the rider continued on the left side and most likely put himself in the drivers blind spot and the driver thought the rider was passing on the right so they returned to their position in the left lane. then again I could be completely wrong
