hauling a busa

Whats the best way to haul a busa in the back of a truck. I've put my other bikes in the bed of my truck before but never a hayabusa.

Make sure you have something that will keep the front tire away from the front of the bed, you will crunch the fender if you dont. Also, if you have chock, that is the best way. Not sure what else you are asking.

In The pic you didn't ties down from the handlebars? No issues with the front end moving?

What you dont see is the strap that goes across the front of the bed and around the front wheel and tire. It was there just to keep the bars from turning. Go get you a 40 dollar Harbor Freight Chock. I would have done that myself if I had the time before we left. Then you only need tie downs on the back of the bike. Or............you can use a Canyon Dancer to tie down the bars. Lots of debate on that issue, but I prefer not to compress my forks and put that much down force on my bar ends.
I do have a lot of straps on the bike, and probably 4 were not really needed, but I like to be safer than sorry. I do tend to over kill a little when strapping her down.

when i picked my bike up the dealer sold me a strap that lets you attach the tie downs to the handlebars. keeps them from rubbing on the plastics. it was about twenty bucks, i really like it.

i think its just called a handlebar strap.

The "handlebar strap" that you're speaking of is the one that compresses your forks all the way, most dislike because if this. Forgive me if I'm incorrect:whistle:

Thats what I have done in the past without issue. (Of course I just had to replace my fork seals last month.)

I used the straps that compress the forks, they work fine, but a wheel chock is probly better

a busa is still a bike...so pretty much the same way you did your other bikes:thumbsup:

I use the Baxley chock up front....then strap passenger pegs to front tie-down, and the passenger grab bars are strapped to the rear tie-downs. Works great. Ramps tuck up along the side. One ramp for the MULLET and one ramp for me to walk up along side of it.

Block of wood or a chock in front.I use two soft strap's attached to the lower trippleclamp and grab them between the front fender and the inside of the side cowling and hook the strap's to them so they do not touch the outside the body work.Keep the tiedown point's low in the bed of the truck.The busa made it to the dragon and VA. twice like that.No problem.And I only tiedown the front.I don't like the caynon dancer beacuse I had a problem with it pulling grip's off and have heard about them wrecking throttle tube's.

2 tie downs to the lower clamps, 2 on the rear for side/side rigidity. +1 on the board in the front. I learned that the hard way but the bike was getting painted anyways so whatev :whistle:

I use wheel chock and straps both...if you use the canyon dancer (the handlebar strap) be sure to put it over your bar ends, or you'll scoot your grips and break them loose...can also damage your throttle slide if not careful. Don't over tighten on your forks.

FYI - they fit nicely in the back of Econolines with a strap at each corner...
