The bike didn't place very high all year though in the Superbike class. But I guess all the hoopla is because Danny Eslick won the Daytona Sportbike class on it.

There is actually a couple of articles in the latest (Nov) issue of Motorcyclist called "Breaking the Rules". This is one reason I have kind of lost interest in AMA this year and have refocused on World Superbike and MotoGP. There is also an article on how Buell pulled another bonehead move in discontinuing the Blast. Thats not the issue, but the way that he did it by mocking the bike (and therefore all its current owners) in such a thoughtless way is beyond comprehension. I had little respect for this company when they dumped garbage bikes on the market when they first started out and I have not increased that much seeing the way this company is managed today.
