Well......... I thought I would go and take my Busa to the bike show at the Mississauga Center in Ontartio Canada on January 3rd this year...... and by TAKE I mean RIDE!!   All went well....except for when I tried to accelerate past a cage going under an overpass and hit some COLD......WET pavement and the rear tire lost ALL traction!!!  I don't have a clue when I had the time to check the speedo but I saw the needle above 180 (that's 110mph for those with the proper format!) Not that fast but up here at this time of year....NOT SMART!!!   As I snapped my right hand back over the top, grabbed for clutch and gripped with my knees to settle the tank slapping going on...  I have to tell you all.....

The rubber stayed DOWN!!!!

Don't really know how but I can tell you I don't think I EVER want to have that feeling again or have my heart beat that fast either!!!
So just to let everyone in the warmer riding areas of the world know .....  You can still ride in January in Canada, and if I get a nice clear sky with dryish roads I'll be out again before the spring hits!!!  But NO high speed right hand twisting!!

I am well acquainted with that show, having lived many years in Mississauga and surrounding area.

I'm with ya. We've been having freekin' glorious weather here the last couple of weeks and many bikes have been out. I left mine up on the stands - - too risky in my opinion, with all the crap on the roads at this time of year... I'll wait til spring and then break it out again.

Good job keeping it upright.

Now really, it was worth it to get out wasn't it?
