They already want an arm and a leg and what ever other body part they can talk you out of to insure the busa why add boost to that equation.

I bought mine for the sea of after market mods.

Just one question, do you the we will be able to shoehorn in a Gen III motor into the hen II?

I guess being older does have it's advantages. $200 bucks a year for full coverage.:poke:

The truth the matter is the Busa ruled the roost for almost a decade with only one update. It was way before it's time. However, if Suzuki sits on it's laurels too long, someone will (and may already have) beat it...but, like you said, at 50 I don't HAVE TO HAVE the most god-aweful fastest bike on the planet. There are a lot of Busa's out there, reasonably-priced, with lots of spare/aftermarket parts available; easy to work on/mod, and very reliable. I don't think, all-around, you can beat the Busa in terms of value per HP. At least for a few more years. But I might be a little biased :)

I am a fan of the Hayabusa. I love it. It's my passion. But let's not kid ourselves into thinking it would never loose it's king status. Gentleman....Lets face it. It already has. There are newer, faster, more advanced bikes being made today. Even the once legendary ZX-11 faded away, why would we think that we are immune.

I've said this before. "It was good to be king. Even if it was just for awhile."

As far as power goes, the busa is already beat with the zx-14, bmw and zx10. The busa still held to record for 9 years something no one has done, and the busa is still what every high power bike is compared to. I like knowing I ride what everyone tries to beat and what everyother bike is compared to in the sport bike world.

On a side note, I read Kawasaki was trashing the zx-14 and adding a supercharger to their zx-10. Same design as thier jetski's with 300+ hp. I thought it was hard to believe but if they let it in the States in a jet ski why not a bike? Give you the agility of a liter bike and the power of a super bike.

I'd consider a 14 before a new Busa for the fact that the 14 has better leg room and less reach to the bars. Then add on some 1inch bar risers, some peg mods and lower it slightly out back and the bike becomes a recliner. I've felt it first hand. After 5-6 Busas over a year period I'm ready for something else thats comfortable.

Put hardbags on it and you just described a Connie.
I rode an 08 model 14 and your right the ergos were more comfortable. It did however seem to me that I was sitting on it instead of in it like the Busa.

It will be interesting. Did a little reading and it's looking like a 1440cc 84mm 65mm, ABS, TCS Kawi. Probably $17K +.

I dont care what bike comes out or how bad its suppose to be, me and my busa will fight tooth and nail against anything claiming to be the king. Plus no other bike imo has the culture or cult following that the hayabusa has.

Well it's not merely culture and cult. We hold all the records including the 6 second quarter TY Ryan S. Don't see 312 in the standing mile on a Kawi in the future. The Busa has been, is, and will be King. We own the benchmark that all others attempt to meet.

You guys are nutz..... You can't have a new winner anymore because the game is OVER... The big 4 stopped the pursuit in 2001...... How can you have a new winner when speed has been limited? What is the new goal? The fastest to 189?
This is why I always liked owning pickup trucks. Who cared what came out next?

We just have a little regulatory advantage that our Busas came in under the wire. Actually, they got the wire to be drawn, shutting the door behind them. Long live the King!

My friend just traded in his New RSV-4 for a 2011 busa ...he said it was fast but hurt to ride after an hour so he made the jump to the Dark Side of the Force, black with red stickers.

I bought my 09 cause it was fast, comfy for me and I wouldnt look like a clown on a tricycle when I rode it. 6'4" 250 lbs. "Faaaaaaaat guyyyyyy on a little biiiiiiiike!" Oh, and the fact it is gorgeous to look at and it is a work of art in it's own right. Nothing else looks like it and nothing else ever will. All of the litre bikes look the same to me. The only one I would love to have is a MV Agusta F4RR for much of the same reasons I like the Busa.

My choices were limited to the ZX-14 and the BUSA. So I asked myself one question. If I bought the ZX-14 would I wish I had bought the BUSA? and vice versa. I've had my BUSA for over a year and I have never wished I'd bought the ZX-14.

Point is that any bike I buy would have to meet similar criteria and that is a hard bill to fill.
