Why Is It That All The 240 Wide Tire Kits Out There Are Off Centered ?

As I have gotten worse and worse with my back injury these days I cut out racing , and was looking into a 240 kit . I like to ride and hit the corners , so I figured I would stay with a 240 kit . Why are the off centered though ?
