Rick, I have never been on track, but would love to try it. Is this event for newbies as well? 19 years total in the saddle and never on a track............let the flaming begin!

Sure, newbies are welcome. Some gear it is all that is needed. Take your time and have fun in the test in tune session if nothing else.

OK folks the time is drawing close here is what i need to know....

when you are planning on getting in ......


The menu we are going to have

Friday --- We will have a huge stew cooked and on the stove so that folks have something warm to eat when you get here. We have some coming Friday at 2pm and some at 7pm and on.....

Saturday -- We will be going to Denny's or IHOP for breakfast then off to the track by 10am and races start at 11am. Lunch the Org will be cooking hot dogs and hamburgers at the track (we always do).. Sat evening the races will be over about 5 or 6 pm and we will head back to my house.. It's only a 20 minute drive so its just a hop skip and a jump..... When we get back home we will fire the grill up again and have a nice dinner with all of you, chicken, steak, baked potatoes and corn on the cob....

Sunday -- Biscuits and sausage.....

I need to make sure that if your coming that you tell me so that I can get to the store and get things bought.... You Ark. folks need to tell me how many are coming......

Let me know what I can do, once again this is open to any org member, if you want to come just let me know... We have cots that will be here and a warm place to sleep.... Lots of food and a guranteed good time....

Good quality textile gear is not a problem. Gloves need to be full fingered. I have a spare XL jacket that will work if yours is an issue and a pair of over pants they let me wear the first time out... I think the are 38s.

Oh, over the ankle footwear.

We are covered then, I have Joe Rocket Padded over pants, and I may wear my armored First Gear Jacket, its may be too warm though, boots, and full fingered armored gloves. Thank ya Sir!

Just made a reservation at the New Castle Motel for Friday and Saturday night. I think this is really going to happen for me. God knows I need a vacation in a bad way.
How many other members will be staying there? Doug posted that if there are 5 or more they will discount the equivalent of the taxes.
I will be leaving from the Dallas area (Flower Mound) some time Friday early afternoon. Is anyone else from that area going up?

I'm heading up Friday afternoon also, but don't know yet what time I'll get away from work. We should touch base a day or two before to see if we can get a group together - that would be great!
