Plus you buy a sportbike to wheelie, impress chicks, go triple digit speeds, and break all sorts of laws.
With statements like this I must say you are an IDIOT.

-To wheelie? So you purchased a Busa to wheelie?

-Impress chicks? This is your hope for getting laid?...Good luck w/ that.

-Go triple didgit speeds? I'll give you that going 100+ is much more fun on a bike but my car does 100+ easy as well.

-Break all sorts of laws?!!! If you bought a bike to do this then you are the kind of squidistic moron that gives us all a bad name...thanks a lot you moron.
I'm an idiot? take a look in the mirror bud. The only reason anyone buys a SPORT BIKE is for any one of those reasons. If you didn't than you are seriously in DENIAL. If you've never done one of these than you live in la la land. Explain to me why you think a SPORTBIKE isn't meant to do any one of these things and I will explain how an airplane isn't for flying. You sir are retarded, if you don't want to wheelie thats fine but obviously this guy does and if he feels comfortable doing so than who cares? He knows he can wreck his bike and become seriously injured but if that scared him away then he wouldn't have asked. Go fly a plane a get out of this thread.

have 2006 busa with tre, yoshi exhaust, and 2200 miles of riding experiance, all in 3 months now its time to do what its made for funnnn fffffuuuunnnnn
first of all, you not going to get a friendly post in here...most of us in here, been there and done that long time ago...more like 10 or 20 years ago...
and if you want to willies and stuff, you can always buy a stunt CD in anywhere...plus, none of the members going to tell you to do any stunt, is not recomended...I haven't seen one trick bike made out of a busa...cuz it has just too much power and its not easy to control...

that's funny, have you ever heard of Ghostrider and his 500+ HP turbo busa streetfighter? He does 220mph plus wheelies.

by all means trade it in for a 600, 750 or litre bike and go wheelie it until the cows come home.

Now why would I want to do that when I can do it on my Busa???
You need to watch the ZX12R/Busa.wmv comparison video (sorry I dont have a place to link it for you) and you will see that the stock Busa has no problem pulling a full b/p wheelie.
It just so happens that 2 professionals are riding both of the bikes so they make it look very easy!!

somehow I knew this was going to get ugly.
Look,it is not for everybody,I loved doing wheelies on my 10 speed, and doing it on a bike is the same, but takes a lot more balls.Period.

Now calling names does nothing for this thread.[/QUOTE]
Jesus Age Crimineez! You're worse than the NY Times. Please don't take a fraction of my statement and turn it into something it's not.

You stated that you got the Busa because it was the fastest sport tourer on 2 wheels, not because of you're desire to do wheelies and stunt.

The point being made here is go ahead and wheelie your arse off on the Busa if you wish...it's a free country, just not the smartest decision. If stunting is your desire why in Sam's hell did you buy the Busa, because it will result in damaging the Busa due to it's very heavy weight in comparison to a 600, 750 or litre, and doing it just makes it that much more difficult/unsafe.

If you asked the rep at the dealership if the Busa had any problems doing wheelies because you had a desire to do so and they didn't dissuade you from buying it they seriously misguided you.

Show us the wheelie video when you get it going.

If you support black's statement then I guess I'll throw you in the IDIOT boat along with him.

And hey, at least I'm not dottin' cotton...my panties stay white.

BTW, I have much more fun hitting a long high speed sweeper than a wheelie.  Riding fast and controlled through turns, acceleration and with others impresses yourself...stunting is for those that feel the need to impress others to feel better about themselves.
And hey, at least I'm not dottin' cotton...my panties stay white.
You can't prove that by me? Your attitude makes it sound like you are on the rag to me? :-)

I was just poking a little fun at you man but maybe you missed the jovial intent?

The thing that bothers me about your statement to brad is the name calling. I'm sure I'm not the only member that is a bit disappointed in one of our own that calls a fellow rider a derogatory name simply because they disagree with them. It's okay to disagree with anyone and state your point. When one resorts to name calling they loose all credibility.

We might have to shelf black 954 right up there w/ PanDemic (no offense to Pandemic, you took some heat).

So you told yourself I want a Busa because:
A. I want to wheelie (see my previous post about this).
B. I want to impress the chicks (i.e. get laid...talk about la-la land).
C. Break all sorts of laws...(big idiot remark here).
D. Go 100+ mph. (No prob here...in appropriate time/place).

BTW, I have jumped out of many perfectly good airplanes - not since getting married. But it's not to impress chicks/others or break any laws. It's solely because of the experience.

And yes, if you still suport your all your reasons for getting the bike without elaborating or "what I meant by that was" then you are indeed an IDIOT.

I’m still working on the nadz to pull the front all the way up! I can carry a little wheelie (like 6 or 7 inches) thought all of first and most of second but that’s it. Maybe one day.

Cool job dude! I bet you can do the same on your busa as well? No photos please or some will criticise you as being an "Idiot" for doing a stand up on your busa.

I do aplogize as that is a statement I should have better directed.

I meant for ME...any type of riding on my bike is for me and my experience/enjoyment and not to thrill or impress anybody else.

Doing a wheelie on my dirt bike when I was young actually got old after awhile when by myself and yes as a kid I did it more to impress others.  That's the nature of being a child/teenager and eventually most of us mature and learn to do things for our own enjoyment and not others.  BTW, I don't know of any 4 1/2 year olds riding Busas.

Tuf,

I didn't call brad an idiot I called black an IDIOT. Maybe you got the two confused (brad/black).

I simply stated to Brad that he can wheelie all he wants just that the Busa is not the bike to get if that's what you wish to excel at. You'll ruin the bike and make it that much more difficult and unsafe during the learning curve.

Tuf,

I'm not sure where the miscommunication lies or if you just read what you want to see.

I'm not criticizing wheelies or those that do them just that it's detrimental to do them on the Busa and why buy a Busa to go stunting instead of a 600 for example?

I openly and unforgivingly called black an idiot for stating he bought a Busa to break numerous laws and impress chicks. Period. And I stand by that.

If someone else says they purchased a Busa to break the law and impress chicks (I'm sure the ladies here will appreciate that one) then I will call them an idiot to.

I think you are grasping straws and making mountains out of mole hills? The question was how to get started on wheelies, not whether or not the busa makes an adiquate stunt bike.

The busa wheelies just fine, no problem what-so-ever. I can wheelie my harley bagger and it is almost twice the size of my busa. Size has little to do with a bikes ability to wheelie. Kyle Woods has shots on his video of him doing a 12 O'clock on one of those monsterous 2300cc Triumps and doing a hell of a job at it. You have this misconception that your busa is some sort of monster that can't be tamed on one wheel. You are confussed. Your busa is big and heavy and it does take more time and practice to learn to properly tame the beast on one wheel but it's not hard once you catch on. And as for abusing your busa doing wheelies and blowing fork seals, once you catch on it's easy to grease the front tire back onto the pavement with the gentleness of a child.

If someone wants to learn how to do wheelies to impress the girls, why should you care? Just because you "Sold your balls and all you got was that shitty little ring" don't take it out on the ones of us who did not take that path and still enjoy impressing the ladies.

Pretty hot topic here .....wheelie vs. no wheelie is kinda like lids vs. no lid . Ridin' without the lid /doing wheelies are a crapload of fun ! I know , I've done both , in the past . But , both will bite ya in the azz , eventually .
So I think both are a choice left up to the individual . And I don't trash anyone for doing either . You only live once ! I'd just like to live a little longer !

Excellent, I got a laugh out of that.
This thread is getting way off track and I only hope that the guy who wants to wheelie has gotten some useful information on how to. I'm not letting down, just trying to bring the topic back on track for those who seem interested in wheelies (which seems like plenty)

Tuf, I know you're not that dense.  Take a trip w/ me back in time.  Below is my first post on this thread and it is clearly in regards to BLACK's statements and says nothing about BRAD's how to wheelie request.

Quote (black954 @ July 19 2006,02:49)
"Plus you buy a sportbike to wheelie, impress chicks, go triple digit speeds, and break all sorts of laws."

My initial response: "With statements like this I must say you are an IDIOT.

If you bought a bike to do this then you are the kind of squidistic moron that gives us all a bad name...thanks a lot you moron."

1. Tuf, why can't you get off this kick that somehow you think I hate wheelies on the Busa or that I think they can't be done?  For the umpteenth time I'm just stating if your desire is to excel at stunting then why not get a bike that is better suited for it, that's all.  If you want to wheelie your harley or Busa or 2300cc Triumph I couldn't give a sh*t less...go ahead.

2. And yes, if your goal for doing wheelies is to impress chicks then I just don't get it or I've just never had the need to be that shallow.  You sound like the Napolean figure with the fancy sports car hoping it will get you in a girl's pants.  However, if wheelies bring a smile to child's face that's a great thing.

3. And believe me the girl who has my balls is 10x more beautiful than anything you will ever make contact with and that sh*tty little ring, as you put it, my wife gave me is probably worth more than your bike.  So just go on and keep getting your rocks off doing wheelies while thinking it's gonna get you laid by some girl who is so impressed she just has to have sex with you.
