Carfax should use that video in one of their commercials.
Best friend did the same thing back in highschool with his dad's 1977 Impala. It was night and we drove it down a trail where rail road tracks were recently ripped out. Hit a big dip and the car went air born. We laughed our azzes off, went back onto the main street, drove around and headed the same way again except this time faster. The car got some major air that time before landing.
Went back for the 3rd time and right from the main road he just floored it for all that 4bbl 350 V8 was worth. It's a memory burned in my head forever. At the peak of the car being air born I looked to the right and was directly looking at a family eating dinner through their glass patio doors and they were looking right back at me. This was the 2nd floor of a two story house!
The Impala landed with a big crash and it hurt...we're talking kidney crusher! We got the hell out of there and drove it behind the high school a few blocks away.
We get out and hear what sounds like a waterfall. Oh sh!t the full tank of gas his dad put in there an hour ago is pouring out.
We go back to his house leaving a trail of gas and he parks it out front and doesn't say anything to his parents. I get in my car and head out of ground zero.
Next day his dad goes to leave for work and he's greeted with tweaked body panels, screwed up doors and an empty tank of gas.
The frame was bent so bad in the back it was what went through the gas tank! The car was totaled but still driveable and luckily it was already 10 years old at the time. We played dumb denying any involvment and for some odd reason his dad never made an issue out of it.
It's been almost 20 years and till today we still laugh our azzes off over it.
I guess the moral of the story is....don't believe what you see on Dukes of Hazzard or Knight Rider!
