Raliegh has alot of night life and restaurants. There are several clubs and stuff to go to. They have a rather large mall (which I am sure the wife will love). You are still a few hours from the gap! But if you wanna ride you can ride to Hanging Rock state park, Pilot Mountain, the Blue Ridge Parkway..they are about 2.5 hours from you, and also the beach is about 2.5 hours the other direction.

depends on what you are into, there are lots of things around here and some fantastic roads/rides

There are several larger malls, lots of food places, standard stuff to do in the evenings. All depends on where you live as to what is really close to you. lemmie know when you are down, if I'm in town we can hook up and show ya the town.

What's bringing you this way?

thanks for the replies fellas.

i should have been more clear - "nightlife" to us is basically nice resturants and a good movie theater. I'm basically looking for a clean city, with lots of good shopping, newer looking buildings, nicely landscaped suburban type neighborhoods. you all know what i'm talking about

i'm in pittsburgh now, which is a dirty old town filled with too many old people and old ways of thinking (racism, women not equal to men, etc..). a change of scenery would be nice.

like I said, all depends on where you live dude... lemmie know when you are coming down and hopefully we can hook up. Or PM me what you are really lookin for and a general price range and I'll send ya some details. FWIW, Holly Springs (where I live) is a suburb of Raleigh and I've lived in this area for 15yrs now
