I spoke to this a few weeks ago on another strand but it didn't get viewed much so I'm gonna say it again....
I know we don't always follow a logical sequence in the ongoing improvement of our bikes but IMHO it should go like this:
1) Brakes (what you do depends on bankroll but at
least SS lines and pads)
2) Suspension (proper dial in and front fork springs at
the minimum)
3) Ergos....grips, pegs, seat, levers, bars, ets(the Busa
was darn good for me when stock but Pazzos, pegs,
Heli's made my bike an all day sport tourer!)
4) Engine performance...PCIII, dyno, intake/exhaust and
the land beyond if 170 RWHP just isn't enough.
5) Then finally Bling! The good news is that alot of #'s 1-
4 also supplies appearance benefits.

There, now I feel better after saying this....Raydog

For me, I would go ergo's, then brakes, maybe engine (exhaust, PC III), then suspension...

The only reason that I say that is because that is how I did it - but as you get more comfortable on the bike (literally in the ergos) then your riding style can change a little, so hit the performance stuff afterwards....

I did exhaust & PC before brakes. If your not happy with the brakes, then start there.
Then I went with levers, bling and Woodcraft for protection. Dont forget a billet sprocket cover. Cheap insurance.
Then wheels.

Yeah, MC Mustang, that makes sense, the bottom line point I was making is that so many bikers invest so much in shiny stuff and more power before they change their OEM tires, for example. My favorite one is a bald rear tire that just had to wait because an exhaust system purchase had more priority for the owner!

Nearly the same for me but my list went: Egros, Suspention, Brakes and then the Exhaust and PC

When I say wheels I mean rims. My OEM rubber is still going. Rear is about done. But I have new rubber for the aftermarket rims.

I guess this became an issue for me because I was financially geared up to by a new Busa then ran across a 2000 with 1300 miles on it so suddenly my budget allowed aftermarket stuff to be decided on in weeks, instead of months or years. The other kicker was I sold my KLR so that money came in too. In a way...my "put alot of stuff on right away" opportunity didn't allow me to experience each add on seperately...like the wave rotors....without the Carro USA wheels. Things like Pazzo levers should be savored separately for weeks! Raydog
