What Should I do?

Heartbreaker

I have been having clutch issues so I tried to back track and find out when my troubles began so I pulled my basket to remove the high volume oil pump gear because I think it's where my problems began and noticed that the needle bearings are missing 2 bearings. Did'nt find them in the oil pan or filter and there is no metal shavings in the oil. Do I need to pull the motor and have it torn down to check for them? I don't know what my next step should be. Any thoughts would be appreciated.:please:

I would try to find them...I would put it back together and try to use some strong magnets on the oil pan and filter. I would just let it idle some and hope to catch them...but it is taking a chance.

The thing that gets me is that I ran the bike at the strip about I week ago and had no problems with the motor only problems with steels warping in the basket.

Could they have gotten in the basket and been destroyed by the plates? Plates are shot and their gone so....

I'm no expert by any means, but that makes some sense to me.
