what happened to the gallery?

I haven't checked out the gallery and was gonna post a few pics today.

I get there, all the names of people who posted the pics are gone and have been replaced with aaa, aab, aac, so on and so on. What gives?

And there is no longer an upload area for each album?

Captain posted about this some time back. Best I remember some info was lost from the server somehow. The pics stayed but the photo owners and file name info was long gone. Captain posted asking everybody to send him the info for any pics they had info for and he'd fix them. I guess not many people sent him the info to re-enter.
