My ‘06 Busa will be 13 on February 4th and I renewed my registration for $145! After 13 years they’re still charging that much. The registration fees for my new ‘18 Z was $226. The fees for my CBXs rose and rose over the past ten years despite their age and here, they have to be over 45 years old to claim antique status and reduced license fees. I was able to renew my drivers license online and that was $36. I hadn’t renewed it since 2014. Nice of them to think I can still drive and ride w/o testing me eh?

You bet! My 13 year old car was $206, just for that lil plate tag and a piece of registration paper.

Wow, you guys get off lightly!
My Busa is 20 years old this year, they charge $576 per annum for registration licence fee, and as far as drivers' licence goes, here in NZ, once you have passed the test ( I was 15) you never get retested again, unless you are disqualified (DUI etc) for more than 12 months, and you have to renew it every 10 years, about $180 from memory.

You are getting ripped off.! My cars are less than $40 and bikes less than $30. I guess the nice scenery you get to ride around, cost you some money.

Just got my renewal notice for my Kawasaki and it’s a whopping $6 less than when I bought it new, $220! Damn I hate the DMV. Don’t we pay enough gas taxes and road use fees already?
