Sorry pure ego not tring to make anybody feel bad. I just thought it would be easy to get to the low tens. I found out it is easy to read about it but hard to do.
WWJD check into CedarFallsRaceway.com for there race dates. Iam not sure when I will get out there again.FSTBUSA is going this Saturday it sounds like.We need more Busas out there. There was a good looking blond girl on an 04 gsxr1000 last weekend ya gota love that. Her man rode a busa.
It is a blast no matter how fast you run. No cops or cars to worry about makes it all the better. Gota Busa I already have it lowered with upper TT. I just was wondering if a strap would help more?

yeah hook I know you'll be twistin it up at deals. I wish I could go but I couldn't get off work. I will be out there either sat. or sun. hopefully it doesn't rain.

Lookin forward to seein ya there in the next few weeks. We have to get alot of busas out there on may 15th. They have a fastest street bike/car challenge. BUSAs are gonna own.

Hey FST dose that place require you to have full leathers or can you get buy with Blallistac Armor pants and jacket? cause thats all i have

well for competing they require you to have everything but for test n tune it sounds like all you need is a ballistic jacket, helmet, gloves, and boots over you're ankles.

take a look at hooken.... in the top pic.. he is at the CF raceway here in cedar falls. He just has his JR ballistics jacket and jeans. So yeah I think it would be fine.

This all was told to me by spaz and hooken. I think they are lenient in order to get the # of bikes coming to the strip. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just bring as much gear as you own and tell them you're from SD and they should let you run that night for sure.

They told me I need a kill switch and leather pants. I was wearing draggin jeans and when they found that out they said that was good enough. So I think if you had balistic jacket and pants that would be OK. I want and know leathers would be better but I dont want to spend the 1000 to 1500 that it will cost to cover me with leather. It would take a heard of cattle to make that suit but I am going to see about it. This was a test and tune day so on a real race day they may have different rules to fallow I am not sure about that

Yeah i know exactly what you mean on the leathers there Hooken me also and the expense i don't do that hard of riding or that much drag racing to really justify them if i really get into the strip then mabey i'm sure the GF will be wanting me to get them just for that reason of protection but who know kinda looking at being down that way the 18th the bike should be completed by the end of this month *crosses finger* then i just gotta get some break in miles in and do alittle dyno work with spaz so we can get her all ready and Nos preped as well heheh i can't wait
biggrin.gif

Hmm yeah i guess i could use a kill switch too but figure that can wait to see if i get to going dragging much say Hookin what do you think of them draggin pants? i was looking at purchaseing a set once but shyed away whats your opinion on them?

you shoulda seen what spaz ran last saturday for a kill switch on his new 04 .... it was a riot!!!

hmmm maybe I won't be going on saturday then.... I thought you were wearing just blue jeans. I have leather pants on the way from parts411 but they won't be here till after saturday.... dangit that just trips my trigger.... I was getting so pumped to go.

They will let you run in jeans they didnt care until I ran that 10.5 number then they said you gota slow down.I made a couple more passes and called it a day. The draggin jeans are OK get the relaxed fit because even they are just an OK fit. They are thick where the kevlar is and will be warm in hot weather.

no virus is still in his shop up on the stand (his 04 ) he uses as a street bike to toy around on.

well if they told you to slow down then I'm not even gonna bother cuz I'm not going out there to waste $20 and putt putt down the track. I'll just patiently await my leather pants so I can bust out some 9 sec passes.

Work on those launches hooken.  You'll eventually get those times down.  I've just recently started going to the track also.  I'm going with a full exhaust and am going to get a custom map from Johnnycheese on my PC.  I just purchased the new full Micron exhaust with the serpent headers.  Supposed to be an awesome exhaust.  I have a buddy of mine running it on his '03 Gixxer 1000.
