How many of you guys use WD-40 to clean your chain? And if you do whats your process do you WD-40 then wash then chain lube? Or WD-40 then chain lube? Had no idea it could be used on my chain.

It saved the paint on my K1200LT last fall! I run through a puddle of yellow road paint. Somone had a bucket fall off the back of a truck and I ran through it before daylight on the way to work. Didn't realize how bad it was until I climbed off the bike. The back of the side cases and the top case were speckled. I was livid. Went to the grocery store and purchased a can of WD40 and a roll of paper towels. Saturated everything and wiped it right off. I keep a sample size can on both bikes all the time now.
