I have a 2004

To anyone who has this mod did you notice a big difference?

Also did you have to use the clutch cushion kit with it?

Would it be ok if you didn't install the cushion kit?

Last what are the benefits of having the cushion kit?

I just did this mod yesterday. Removed the two piece hub and put a one piece welded hub in. I've only ridden it around the block but shifting seems to be more positive. I don't believe you need to use the clutch cushion with this mod but I think it will enhance it if you do.
