we are working on the plans for our new house in FL and just show that to the WIFE, since I really really want a basement (w 8 ton ac unit) this will make sense for me to add.... (basement, will have the busa, torino and rx7.. garage can keep the expedition and denali..lease:lease:

Basements cost some generally $$ in Florida. On account of they water factor. Can barely dig a 6ft grave here without hitting some water.

yep...jmho but...these cardock gizmos oughta be a "No Sale" anywheres south of I-10...and florida is like lving on a sandbar..just leave yer vehicle parked in a spot long enough and...she'll sink...and..

if you do find some fool to build you a home w/ a basement in florida?...ya might wanna look into some serious "Sump Pump Systems" b4 ya blow all yer dough on AC for it...heck...ya might be best off starting out with an in-ground pool then just build a house on top of it..but even the pools have a tendency to pop up out of the ground when the water tables rise 'round these parts....and no..i'm not kidding.

round here?..aint even gotta be a hurricane...just a tropical storm with a lot of rain and ya need a john boat to leave the driveway....it all drains off in a day or so but still..
