Yes sir, both notched for grab rail and mod done to allow using space under the hump. I like.....

Yup, been there, cut it!!

Flrider,
Please elaborate on the storage mod. I kinda think I understand, but have never even seen a pic! Can someone show me?

After cutting the hell out of my stock undertail for my new one the hump was a joke!

Marcus, Now I just remove knobs and put stuff in hump and put back together with knobs. Works good. Many thanks to Kent for hardware to accomplish this mod.....

I dunno, I have thought about it, but I have only used the grab rail a few times...most of the time the few minutes it takes to swap out the parts doesn't really bother me, so no Hump mod yet... But we'll see..

Never had the bar on, never will. Also only had the back seat on but once, and that was for a very good friend that wanted to go for a ride. I can only think of one other woman that I would put it back on for....

The only reason I am thinking about doing it is having something secure to hold on to while I put my bike on the rear stand. My bike is stored on the rear stand, so I do it a lot and if the day ever comes that I drop my bike it will probably be during this time. I am no weakling but the grab rail would make it a lot easier! I'm just not sure if it will take away from the sleakness?

I have started sittin' the hump off and usin' the rail that the hump latch is bolted to to hold my busa steady while goin' onto/comin' off of the stands. Just an idea... ;)

I voted, "It's not notched... Yet.". I will likely notch it but not until I get a chrome grab bar. I like the looks of the bar w/hump mod with a chrome bar! :super:

Good idea, I will try that!

Werks like a charm.  :beerchug:

I need to find some of those knurled knobs and do the hump storage mod. Hmmm...

earlier....a few months ago someone posted how to do the hump storage mod...step by step with knurled knobs and all that stuff.
I think the thred was started by me....entitled Mods for dummies.
