I am a former Biology teacher and I never really thought of a hyena as being all that violent.  They are the scavengers of the animal world.  When Lions and other large animals make a kill they eat all the good meat.  The hyena wait for the lions to leave and eat most of the rest of the kill.  Then smaller animals and birds of prey move in.  Kind of like your dog at the dinner table.  

Ok I am going to stop being a dork and go talk about motorcycles again.

I'll admit it... I got scared just looking at the pics! I never realized those hyenas were so huge! What are these idiots thinking! They'd be mad at me... they walk up MY street and all they'd hear would be the .45 ruger I carry getting the clip emptied!

Oh damn!!! First, I didn't think those there Hyenas were that big. Second.... I WANT ONE!!! Imagine walking thru the park one day taking your "little" pet for a walk. I am thinking NOBODY is gunna come near ya.
