On a serious note, Russia is losing a lot of soldiers, the casualties on both sides is immense.
I think Putin is tired of this and will be looking for an out. He is just looking for someone to talk to, and that may well be Trump.

I certainly was joking around, but based on past actions and words I don't think I was too far off TBH. Let's see what happens. Hopefully the Ukrainians get to keep their country, and all of their sacrifices will be worth it.

Interesting, the media has kind of lost interest, but the death toll both sides are exponentially higher than the war with Israel.

To be fair, that battle is going on 3 years and the media has had plenty going on right here. If Trump can convince Putin to pull out, I’d call that and 4 years of a cartoon administration a wash.

With the huge volume of immigrants the Canadian government is bringing in, hotels are being converted to half-way houses for them.....there have been hockey tournaments postponed because there are no accommodations for out of town teams (or at least not enough).
It's gotten so bad here that some of these immigrants arrive here, are vetted and sent away with a health card and a bi-monthly social assistance check and are released into the general populace only to end up living in a tent somewhere...winter is coming and a tent and winter aren't friends....
I find it sad our government is setting these people up for failure right off the hop.....it reminds me of a greedy hotel owner bringing in people even though there is no vacancy and making them pay to sleep in the lobby....

We are 4 years ahead of you doing this. Large cities healthcare systems are on the verge of bankruptcy because of the burden of the surge of unpaid patient loads. Those loads are largely due to the immigrant flow.

Our hospitals are full and wait times at ER are up to 12 hrs in big cities due to the influx of immigrants who for the most part have never seen a doctor before...
There have been instances of people actually dying in the waiting room of ERs...
Our healthcare is also on the verge of collapse.

A woman in GA was arrested for letting her 10 yr old son walk less than a mile to town......
Even where I live, there is a park that is around a mile from the farthest home and I see kids walking or biking there all the time.....there is even a school bus stop that is around a half mile from one kid's home......
If a charge like this were to stick, the cops are going to be extremely busy arresting countless numbers of parents........
There has been a "GoFundMe" set up for her and hopefully she beats this charge and a few heads roll over it.....what a croc!

I get asked from time to time why I never chose to have kids.
This is an example of why. Somewhere around the mid 80s, it became evident to me that they were taking child tearing away from the parents and placing it in the hands of some type of organized entities that know better how to do it.
Now kids call DCS in parents if they don't like something. Parents get arrested or fired from their jobs it they administer corporal punishment.

I suspect if the average man was asked about the subject anonymously they would say "No thanks" But they get married and then the women fall pregnant, often without consultation. If a couple does talk it over they often wait, for a decade or two! But the worst think I see is couples uprooting their lives to follow the kids around
Like they have no life of their own, it's weird. And then when the grand kids show up they are all in, total babysitter mode. The mothers at least, the men just get dragged along. It's a pandemic.

My grandkids are great and I enjoy them probably more than my own kids as I'm more relaxed with them.....
When that little girl takes your hand and says "come on grandpa, let's go check that out" (meaning anything from a butterfly to a waterfall) it sure pulls at your heart strings.....
I have three grand daughters who live a couple thousand kms away but they Facetime with my wife and I fairly often......I get a chuckle when my 13yr old granddaughter facetimes me before she goes to school and asks me about what she should wear....I remind her that I am a man as as such have zero fashion sense...what I pick out for her to wear to school would be drastically different than what she would want to wear......
My wife says when the grandkids are over, I'm the biggest kid in the bunch......

I make a great uncle. From the ages of about 3 to about 11.
One year I made a potato cannon and brought with me at a Christmas visit.
After the first "boom" it made, the rest of the other parts of Christmas no longer existed!
Before and after are PITA ages. :-)
