The color poll

Well over 50 votes from new Gen II owners, and I am not surprised to see the charcoal and orange figures running neck-and-neck, but I am a little surprised at the very low blue/gold numbers (less than 13%).

I am wondering it Suzuki just didn't produce/floor as many of these blue/gold paint schemes as the other two, or is this paint combo just not well received among Busa customers, or....

WC, not an 08' owner, but the Blue is not as well rec'd by me. All the commercials, ads etc have the Orange, so of course statistically speaking it will be the most recognized color (also holds true for resale value). Personally I am looking at the Grey.

My suspicion about that is predominantly gear-related.

I would have considered the blue one, but the fact that I own NO blue gear would mean that I'd have to buy all the shizzle that goes with it.  

For some, this won't be a problem, but for me, having outfitted myself with gear that would go with the '02 Grey/Silver and the '06 White (LE), most of what I already own worked great with the Charcoal.  It was more a matter of function than passion.  My storage and closets are packed with riding gear, so purchasing more would not only be more costly (so, why?), but would fill my storage to beyond capacity.

This holds very true for the orange one (for me, as well), as it's the one I initialy wanted.

I love the blue and can't wait for it to arrive. I'd prefer the 07 Blue but not much you can do with the 08 color options. I really don't like the Orange in person. It looks great in pictures but just not for me. If it was closer to the Lamborghini Orange I would be all over it but I just can't get excited for the current color. As far as the Grey, I've had a couple Black and Grey cars/bikes so I just wanted something different plus I figured it would be the most popular so Blue it is for me...

When the pictures first came out, I really liked the blue but could not stand the gold wheels. If it would have been an option to put black wheels on the blue busa, that is what I would have gotten. So instead I got the grey/black.

The blue would have been my second choice. If it would have been the 07 blue it would have been my first choice.

The blue looks better in person but I would take off the gold..and the blk/gray is kinda drabby imo stock..but with a little bling and pipe,fender cut ect they all look better!!

The blue is nice, but the gold wheels I could do without.  I saw a picture of a blue with black wheels somewhere on the board and it looked really nice.

The Gold rims are what drew me to it, original for stock I guess!

I myself have the blue one and i love it. The color really stands out in the sunlight. I looked at all 3 but still like the blue the best. I think it is really going to look good when i get my seat back with the blue stitching in it. I will post as soon as i get them in. Doug

To be honest i really would like the white if we could get it here in the US

how many new Busa's you see sitting on show room floors? I think they are selling pretty much every one so must be a production numbers thing...

I passed on the charcoal, then 3 weeks later bought the blue. I too liked the rims.

Blue/Black is a great color scheme in my opinion.

I can't explain the numbers. maybe my taste is in the minority

My take is that the poll is NOT just members who currently own the bike, but opinions on what the members like! So, with that being said more Blue votes please....

OK... I have to put my two cents in and here it is: When I made my decision to upgrade to the Gen2 Busa I looked long and hard at all of the colors and I honestly couldn't lean towards the Orange/Black or the Grey/Black. The White/Silver was an option for me here in Japan(Canadian Spec but it really didn't sit too well with me either other than the Red Stickers! I chose the Blue/Black but the first thing that I had planned was to get rid if the Gold! Personally, I like to be different from others which is why I had the Wheels and the Black areas all painted the same color Blue and changed the Stickers to the Red! I love it! The Blue is kind of misleading until you get it in the Sunlight! It it then that the "Real" Blue color stands out from the rest in my opinion! But when it comes down to it... All of the colors still look good when you are rolling down the road and everybody's head turns! Here is a pic for those who haven't seen it yet! Happy New Years to all of you here at the Org.! Be safe, stay healthy, and lets all enjoy the upcoming year with our new Busa's!

I will be putting more pics up once I finish getting rid of the unnecessary parts and accessories that hinder the look that I want! Stay tuned!

I had hoped to keep the poll to those who had actually made the purchase; not to those who simply like this one or that. What I had hoped to find was who actually put the money down and on which color.

Maybe a new poll could be commissioned entitled:

Which color '08 do you like best?

...so as not to dilute the purity of the number of those who are actually riding the '08.

08 Charcoal all the way. It may be a color coordination thing with riding gear, however it is more stealth, in my opinion. At first, I lusted the orange until I saw the "black" though it is Charcoal with black trim as with all the others. The charcoal allows carbon fiber upgrades that really tie in well. The orange is a police head turner, the blue is nice, especially the rims as they would be nice on the charcoal.
All in all, just a matter of taste and attitude, to each his own.....
