I saw an article about the ZX-14 on the AMA's website (http://www.amadirectlink.com/news/2006/ZX14/ZX14.asp), and they made these comments in a sidebar: "Direct-action front brake master cylinder"; "Direct-action hydraulic clutch";
"Direct-actuation gearshift lever means no linkage." To you technically-savvy members out there, what does this mean? I'm particularly interested in the last one regarding the gearshift lever. Does this simply mean that the shift lever just connects to the shaft that comes out of the case? Or is there something more?

just means there is no linkage
