Just last week put the same on my 2014. No cutting involved, went on easy as pie - even though there were no instructions. They look great!

No cutting... and I like the clearance from the fairing as it comes thru from the mount.
I would like for them to stick out a bit more though...this could be done with a longer bolt and some washers/shims were it screws into the mount. hmmmm....

I have them on my 2013 LE. T-Rex sent me a dark photo copy of instructions which do not help. After a 30min or so, I finally figure out how to install...I also install engine case frame slider and fairing grills.
