Swingarm Play?

Well thanks for the brake help, now next problem. With the rear end off the ground, I can grab the rear wheel and pull toward the clutch side of the bike and I can see the swingarm move about 1/4in. The wheel bearings are fine, I can actually see the singarm move, I did check all fastners and everything is tight, is this normal play or no? Thanks again for the help.

How are you lifting the bike? Most lifts are from the swingarm? You should not have play side to side on your swingarm.

5/8 rod through swingarm pivot bolt on jackstands is how its off the ground, its never been off the bike, never wrecked, has 9k miles on it.

That is a solid lift, you should not have play side to side. You need to look over that setup.

wow, does the bike kick sideways at all when you're hard on it one gear to the next?! That sounds disastrous!!

pulls straight, just the front end is wandering all over the place, did everything up front, the swingarm was the last thing checked.
