I own a 04 with a stock alum color swing arm. i want it black.
so do i powder coat the thing or buy new black one?

upgrading to a black framed bike is not going to happen.

R&R stock swingarm, for purpose of powdercoating is fun and fulfilling........but removal then purchasing and installing a hi-po aftermarket arm because you "want a black one" is a waste of $1200. Raydog

Check ebay- stock black swingarms go for around $35-50, thats where I got several for the same reason you want one. Then sell yours for the same price and down time on your bike is about 2-4 hours:laugh:
