stripped M/C screw

started to do my brakes today and ended up stripping the screw head for the master cylinder  

. now I can't get the cover off. anyone got any suggestions??

Sears has screw back out bits just for that application. They work good too.

do they have them that small? I'll start the hunt sunday, Im going racing tomarrow not on the busa

Oh yeah they do. Actually they come in a 3 pack from small to large.
I use mine all the time...essential toolage for the wrencher.

Thats what I have always called them. There are several different types, some look like punches, and some are short and stubby.

If you can find them, get the short stubby ones. They are much better. I have a whole set from Matco that are the cats rump. Could not live with out them at work. Machine operators that try to fix the machines are my worst nightmares.

Just make sure you go slow with it or you'll be more pissed off when there's no screw left showing at all. . .

Get your Dremal out with a sm cutting wheel, and make that thing a flat head,,,lol.

I used the ones from sears for my fj1200 when I stripped out the clutch master screw thew work great
