Very broad question.
Best for low-midrange?
Best for midrange-top end?
Best for top-end?
Who ported the head? Typically a head is ported to work in a specific rpm range and the person who did the work would either port for a specific cam or for the customers requirements or specs. Put the wrong cam in and performance will suffer, sometimes even make less power than stock. Or ride like crap

Need more info

Like Oldgixxer said more info is needed. What are your goals?
I did a search for cam swaps and a lot of guys were taking Gen 2 cams and using them in Gens 1&3 so it sounds like Suzuki got it right on the Gen 2. I did find one post that linked to Hayabusa Zone and it list what mods for there cams were need. Maybe this will help.

Well, its a gamble if it'll work, but in a nutshell,go for a large lift cam over .400 if street racing/roll racing is your thing and hope for the best.

Or play the smart game and bring your head to a machine shop so they can put it on the flow bench and check cfm which will help you determine which cam will work best. Once you know the flow characteristics you can call and speak to hi performance shops or cam company's such as the link posted above to determine which would work best for your head

Hi where are you? Call DME, Webb cams. On one bike I had we had to notch the head and cam cover to clear the cam lobes. The bike was built for drag racing only. Ever think about going supercharger or turbo? I ride a Supercharged 2003 busa as my every day bike, I take it to work, around town and long rides. Oh 293 HP to 360HP pic 1 bike at Loring LSR meet Sept 2025.

You should have been more specific in your first post and said the bike has a stock head and you wanna port the head so which would be the best cam.

I read it and thought your head was already ported so disregard my replies as they're not applicable

are you planning on changing the valve springs? you will be limited on how much larger of a cam you can run with stock springs. also how many miles does your engine have? higher mileage valve springs can float a valve with an aggressive cam.

My buddy did head and cams on his stock GEN2 motor and picked up nice HP. He used:

Port-Tech motorcycle cylinder heads and racing engines

You can find him on FB. My buddy got a .395 intake cam and used his stock intake on the exhaust. This is a good mid/upper rpm improvement on a budget. You can pick up a little compression while you're doing it if you want. He's pretty good about turnaround time and accurate with what he tells you.

Edit: Later on my buddy went 1441 and used the .395 on his exhaust and bought a .415 intake.
