Sprocket Specialist order

Well I think we will start working on a good supplier for chains and sprockets, that we can trust.

To Sprocket Specialsts Customer Service,

I can only hope that I will finally see my Sprocket next week.  Yes it is a  titanium coated  40T 530 108z pattern for RC wheels, ordered 4/16/04.  I have ordered my RC custom wheels, I had a custom chain made and a ChromMolly front Sprocket from AFAM.  Guess what?  I have everything I need except my Sprocket Specialist order.  Each week (not days) that I have called I have been told next week.  Now I currently hear from you (after I had to call again) I will see it maybe next week Thursday.  I may see it next week but doubtful in my mind.

We have 6500 members of www.Hayabusa.org that will be very interested in my out come, at the moment I would not recommend Sprocket Specialist to them or the the other 25,000 total members for www.suzukihayabusa.org or www.tristatesportbikes.co or www.200mph.org.uk or www.labusa.org or www.totalkaos.com or www.superkaos.com/  I am in very good standing and have a respected reputation with these organizations.  If you could not turn around the product ( I even went with the longer production time) you should have told me.  It does not do me any good to hear that your suppler could not keep up with your demand. I have missed 2 weekends now getting on my new wheels, sprockets and chains.  Most likely I will have to use an aluminum sprocket that is not Ti coated, and then I will have to go through the expense of changing  the sprocket again when I get the Ti.  I will add that I have used your products many many times with mixed results.  I was fair and gave you another try.

So the bottom line is I hope that you will make this situation right. I will be posting this e-mail on www.Hayabusa.org under Bike related topics,  I will also be fair and post your response and will look forward to posting a positive solution of this issue.

Sincerely,
Mike

Ninja Eater uhh totally off the subject, can you hook me up with some 901's they are the best on earth!!!!!!!!!

Nah, I was just bullshittin' NE. Don't know what to say. Seems like they are a middle-of-the-road type company. You just don't know what to expect. Sorry to hear of your dilemma, but I think that it will be resolved fairly soon. Hopefully the company tries to make it right by giving you a gift certificate, a discount, or something to express their apologies. I may be a little bit delusional, but to me, that would be fair. Good luck man!!!

Speaking of SS... I was disappointed with the 42t sprocket I recieved from them through Schnitz Racing. The workmanship actually worried me to the point to where I didn't want to put it on but, time and the mod bug prevailed. I cleaned it up my self...deburring everything on it. I'm replacing it in the near furture with a Vortex or something f that quality......I don't like bashing but NE's issues with SS tripped the wire to let my thoughts be known of them.

Nt really bashing. I would not go with anything but steel on a Busa espesially mine with 198lbs of torque. AFAM makes great steel zinc coated rears. SS does not make any steel they do make Titanim coated which is the 3rd best thing after steel and solid Ti, however the have the RC bolt pattern. The Ti if I ever get it is a great idea from SS if they come through.

I have ordered 2 or 3 sprockets from them without issue and I was going to order another this week. Hopefully they can resolve your delayed sprocket. If they do not, let us know.

As a show of solidarity, I'll order from someone else.

Good luck NE

That should wake them up! They're on notice that an unhappy customer has a gripe about their business practices, and is ready to post the results of the situation; his mouse poised over the SUBMIT button.

I've purchased from them in the past with no problems, but this "Next week" crap is not right!

You'll have to change your sig..."Rider of the Green Dragon, and tamer of the Crappy Company"

NE: that situation sucks. I'll never understand why customers get treated like this, nor why companies feel they can get away with it. Hope it gets resolved soon, and in your favour.

Bike382: you're a man among men.. a prince even.. for showing solidarity like that. Maybe if NE's situation is resolved to his satisfaction and in a timely manner others will give them a shot.. or not... dunno.

Keep your chin up, NE..

I have ordered several times from SS and always was a bit leary in dealing with the person on the phone but I did receive my gear within a reasonable time frame. It seems like they just distribute for another outfit. Sorry for your delays NE.

Thought for sure they did their own manufacturing the sprockets. They are even the maker for RC wheel sprockets. They don't do steel and they have to send out Alum. for Ti coating. You never know however, could turn out they are getting all there stuff somewhere else.

It seems like you have order two of everything nowadays, thinking ahead. This kinda of service gets old and hurts the sources who make an effort to communicate and ship the order as expected. I wouldn't be surprised if their operation has been outsourced to India or China.

I never had a problem with them a sprocket for my stock busa wheel came awful quick but the one for my RC took longer then i thought but it was over the winter when i was not riding so i never really had much to complain about there really
