I just tried to get a room at the Microtel for the 24-27. They say there are no rooms for those dates. That sucks!

Keep checking in with the Motels and on this thread. There are usually a few cancellations.

I grab a hotel everywhere I go. This trip I want to do something different.

You can camp at CROT. It's not out in the wilderness (by definition).

where do i find a room? where can i park the bike?...

If you can't find a room just show up. You can always bunk on the floor with us on an air mattress and sleeping bag. Most leave their bike outside with no problem at the phillips or elsewhere. If you want,you can stay in the busa hospital. I have air mattresses and sleeping bags and your bike can stay in there too if you would feel better.

I cant wait for this trip. Juli and I are extremely excited. I talked to Busasweety and I think they may be able to make the trip too, and they wont be staying too far away from the Phillips. Hal, what day are you going up? I think we were planning on meeting Dennis in St. Louis and then heading up Wednesday.

Last year Omslaw and myself picked up Boazalmighty in Columbia, Mo. and went on over to busawhipped's house in St. Louis on Tuesday night, and loaded Semi's bike on the Illinois side the next morning on the way. We plan on doing the same this year, but will probably meet Boaz in St. Louis since he has a way to haul the busa in his van now.

I should be coming. I will pull the 7X12 enclosed. That makes my plan to camp an easy on. I am already pulling the tent.

Fontana Village has a nice campground. Also there is one at the foot of Fontana Dam. Sorry, I don't know the name of it.

Hal, if is Juli comfortable, we will be bringing her new ride as well, but we will most likely trailer if we bring both bikes. I hope my taxes will allow me to purchase a good used enclosed trailer, if not, we will be riding 2-up. I have confirmed with Dennis to stay at his house on Tuesday night. It looks like we may have quite a caravan to the Phillips on Wednesday. I also check with Ms Reba today, we are still good to go for our room, Wed through Sun.
