I think that most of the LEO's that posted were talking more about stunters and squids, not sportbikes in general. We all make fun or the suids and the stunters that put other people in danger too! There were a couple of posts in there that were garbage, but most were referring to the squids i think.
With the exception of the original poster I'd agree. The original poster made it perfectly clear what kind of officer he is with this statement...

"Personally, I can't stand the bikes. I think that they (as a group in general) have little regard for traffic law and safety. AND I always try to slap them with tickets whenever I can."

When even his fellow officers didn't jump in and agree with him he started back pedaling and made out like he only messes with "squids". I think the wording of his entire first post makes it clear what kind of officer he is... He is as damaging to the LE community as squids are to the sport riding community...

some of those guys are fugged. I can't believe that the most professional of professionals talk like that. I put Police right up there with EMS and Doctors, and of course Military.
They may be kids, may be old, but some are just flat out faked.

As in any profession, there are good ones and bad ones. Just like with riders. As a whole I place the membership of this forum high on the food chain. Still, there are a few that are less than representative of the board. Just how life goes...

I would agree. The majority of the LEOs around here ride and are cool. I wouldn't say that they give breaks if someone is screwing off, but they don't start following you just cuz you are on a sport bike. Most want to talk about bikes if they see ya stopped somewhere.

As far as Hardley riders being drunk, just go on a poker run sometime. After the first stop, most are intoxicated. Went on one last year with another sport bike rider and a couple Hardley pals. Me and the other sport biker were the only two not drinking.

I got a Harley rider a couple days ago, foot and a half shorter than me, 10 years older, WAY worse shape than me but had on his bolt-on ego aka leathers, beard, tatoos, beaking in front of some girls about my cheap plastic jap bike. I told him how much I liked his bike, you know, rose above the situation, and commented on how I heard that 85% of all the Hardleys ever built are still on the road! He look impressed, the girls kind of stunned. Then, I said that the other 15% actually made it back home.

The girls are still laughing, He tucked tail.

Personaly I enjoyed the comments: "I just make it a personal habit to RARELY give anything other than citations to dudes on bikes. Not cruisers and harleys ..... although I rarely ever have to stop those types of bikes to begin with."

and from the 'Sherrif': "Next time these bikers diss you in traffic, just do this...."

And again from the original poster: "If I EVER see a Harley rider doing a wheelie splitting traffic 90 MPH on the interstate, I just may change my attitude about Harleys ........"

He never have to change his mind, unless he sees a nut on a VROD. That's the only Harley that he'll probably ever see doing any of the above. Most of the Harley riders around here are too drunk, fat, or stoned to do any of that without crashing first. The rest of the Harley riders around here have been pretty cool.

A few of those LEO's there need a serious vacation, or maybe just be institutionalized for a while. We could show MotoGP clips 24/7 to them.

Very interesting read. I agree with BT's comment on this one. The guy began backpeddling when he was called out on his prejudice, but his initial post was very clear on how he really felt.

I'd tell you what I'd do to that first guy and his family if he ever tried 1/2 the $hit he advocated but I'd be banned from this site. Ppl like that should be gassed.

The rest of the guys seemed reasonable, but you can definitely see some serious biases going on.
